I am glad that you asked your friend AI, although I am still none the wiser……in my neck of the woods, this was described as flannel! Nothing actually said just words randomly joined together, fine as a child trying to squirm out of taking responsibility for breaking a pan of glass, maybe not so fine for a vice president

Yes, 'flannel', a common expression in England for speech that is 'malleable', like the flannel cloth, and feels 'comfortingly warm' but without much substance. But is it just meaningless waffle or does it expose something about her political writer's attitudes towards the past, as suggested by the AI? That said, it's hard to believe someone else actually writes her stuff.

Re-writing the past, very Orwellian, but the drivel? Kafkaesque? At the end of the day it is very worrying, is there a game plan do you suppose?

I have just returned from an extraordinarily wonderful evening, immersed in Carlos Acosta’s Carmen. I have my ballet cap on and wish to keep it in place whilst I sleep. I will remove it tomorrow morning and face reality.

I've only seen clips, but enough to get your point. When I write satire now, it becomes a puzzle for the reader to decide what is absurdist hyperbole and what is just straight reporting of facts.
